It seems to me that the only thing we produce in abundance in America anymore is food. Our farmers feed the world with the latest in technology and farming technique. Cudos to those in the ag. business. Did you know that America leads the world in Gourmet innovation? The English? two words-spotted dick. The French? Snails and all things 19th century-or earlier. The Italians? Seems America is teaching the Italians a thing or two about their own culinary heritage.

Only in America do we have the resources and imagination to bring in ingredients from around the world and turn them into the finds that tantalizes the palette. The world copies us almost as soon as the buzz gets started.

So take pride in America, the ingenuity, the entrepreneurs, the visionaries who produce the newest and hottest tasty trends. Support those mightily who strive to open up new and bold culinary horizons. And yes, support those vital small businesses, such as ours, who are striving each day to make the world a more wonderful, adventurous place to dine...one bottle at a time.
